Volunteers from across the borough were treated to a tea party, hosted by the Mayor of Waverley, Councillor Simon Inchbald, to say thank you for their vital work in the community.
More than 100 people attended the event, which was held at Charterhouse in Godalming on Thursday 19 October.
They enjoyed a grand tea with sandwiches and delicious home-made cakes before the Mayor gave a speech celebrating their contributions.
All councillors were asked to nominate people working for charities, voluntary groups and not for profit organisations to attend the reception. Guests included volunteers from the Community Meals Service, the Meath and village and community care groups.
