Residents and local businesses are invited to give their views on the main modifications to the Waverley Local Plan Part 1 from Friday 8 September 2017.
As part of the ongoing examination, the council has prepared modifications to the plan in liaison with the Planning Inspector conducting the examination. These include increasing housing numbers from 519 to 590 new homes per year and some changes to the Green Belt. The consultation also includes details about how the council proposes to distribute these homes in accordance with the spatial strategy set out in the plan.
All comments received will be passed to the Inspector for review and he will take them into account before issuing his report later in the year.
There are a number of ways to take part in the consultation:
- Using the council’s online consultation system (the council’s preferred option) at: www.waverley.gov.uk/lpp1examination
- Emailing your comments to: firstname.lastname@example.org
The consultation document is also available from the planning reception of the Waverley Borough Council offices, The Burys, Godalming, GU7 1HR, and at locality offices and public libraries within the borough.
The deadline for responses is 5pm on Friday 20 October 2017.
