Living Well Week is about learning new ways to have fun, stay active and live healthily. Aimed at the over 50s, the week consists of activities and taster sessions designed to demonstrate the vast array of services available locally.
Together with our partner organisations, Waverley Borough Council is offering an exciting range of activities suitable for older people across Waverley with activities and events ranging from walks for health and low intensity workouts to various arts and craft classes.
Councillor Jenny Else, portfolio holder for Health and Wellbeing at Waverley Borough Council, said: “I am delighted that we can once again offer a full week of free and discounted taster sessions, available to the over 50s.
“Over the week there will be a range of activities designed to improve health and wellbeing, as well as confidence. It may only take one small change to make all the difference to our lives and I wholly support this brilliant initiative.
“A highlight will be the free Living Well Celebration on Saturday 1 October. There will be a chance to indulge in tea and cake, as well as hear some inspirational talks. I look forward to seeing you there.”
