The Evidence Base - LDF Studies and Research
About the LDF evidence base
An important part of the Local Development Framework (LDF) is that decisions are based on good or 'sound' evidence. The LDF covers a wide range of topics and requires substantial supportive evidence. This information is known as the evidence base and includes:
- findings from events and consultations (qualitative and quantitative)
- research and statistics on different topics or areas
- specific studies.
Studies
A number of studies have been prepared, or are being prepared, to support the preparation of the LDF. The table below shows all of the studies that the Council expects to prepare, who is preparing them (consultant), and their current state of preparation (status). The list is organised by topic, then by the study name and then by date produced.
