What was this all about?
In the autumn 2010, we asked for your views on the number of new homes that it would be acceptable to build in Waverley in the coming years.
The Coalition Government is proposing to abolish Regional Spatial Strategies and their associated housing targets through the Localism Bill, which was presented to Parliament in December 2010. Instead of the regionally imposed housing targets, local councils like Waverley will work with their communities to further understand how many homes should be built in their area.

The evidence studies and supporting documents: We have completed a number of studies to help us write new planning policies for the Core Strategy. Examples include the Strategic Housing Market Assessment and the Employment Land Review.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the consultation. You can view a summary of the responses we received during this consultation. The responses inform the production of the Core Strategy Preferred Options and Draft Policies, which is subject to consultation from 24 January to 7 March 2011.
