Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) look at whether there are any potential environmental effects of a proposed development or planning application.

Making an appeal
An individual or group can challenge the decision of a local planning authority to grant or refuse planning permission.
This can be done by making a claim for judicial review in the High Court. Further advice about making a High Court challenge can be found on the Courts and Tribunals Judiciary website.
