The Council is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office to collect, hold and process personal data under registration number Z5031756.
Specific personal contact data such as your email address, signature and telephone number will not be published on the Waverley Borough Council website but will be retained for contact purposes only by the planning department at Waverley Borough Council. You should also be aware that your name, contact address and comments may be more widely published on the web in relation to public planning committee meetings within minutes and agendas relating to the planning application and any subsequent appeal hearings held by the Planning Inspectorate. All comments received in respect of planning applications will become background papers (as defined in the Access to Information Act 1985) and accordingly will be available for public inspection and will be published on the Council’s website.
It may be possible your name and address will appear in search results on internet browsers/search engines (over which we have no control).

Please search for the relevant planning application in our Planning applications online enquiry system. Once you find the application you are looking for, you can submit your comments online before the deadline.
What happens next
Your comments will be sent to the relevant planning officer by the next working day. We aim to review and add your comments to this website within five working days. Please note that comments may be moderated before they appear on the Council’s website.
When we determine planning applications we will only take into account material planning considerations. The Planning Portal gives advice on material considerations.
Comments of an inappropriate, derogatory or defamatory nature will not be taken into account or published. The Council will not publish comments which reveal sensitive personnel information in the comments section.
Anonymous and in confidence comments will not be taken into account when we determine the application.
