Planning application for the Godalming Key Site

At a meeting on Monday 6 August 2012, Waverley's Joint Planning Committee granted planning permission for five years subject to completion of a legal agreement to include an 'overage clause' which means the developers will report regularly on the profitability of the scheme.

This clause will provide Waverley Borough Council with the opportunity to receive a financial contribution from the developer to build affordable housing elsewhere in the town, provided the viability of the development is not compromised.

The application was received for the redevelopment of the Godalming Key Site, reference WA/2012/0453. The new application allows the erection of 137 new dwellings on site, comprising 35 town houses and 102 apartments.

The application was approved on 18/12/2012 following the completion of legal agreements.

You can view the approved plans on our Online Enquiry System - WA/2012/0453.

The site is currently under construction.
