Voter registration canvass
Each year we carry out an annual canvass of all residents in the borough to make sure the revised Register of Electors is as accurate as possible.
On 2 August 2017, all properties in the borough will be sent a household enquiry form listing all current registered electors. The form will ask residents to confirm or change the information we hold for the property on the Electoral Register. It is a legal requirement that a member of each household responds to the form, whether there are changes to the details or not. A revised electoral register will be published on 1 December 2017.
You should respond as soon as possible in one of the following ways:
- Fill in the form online
- If there are no changes, confirm the details by calling 0800 197 9871
- If there are no changes, confirm the details by texting NOCHANGE followed by your security code to 80212
- Complete and sign the form, then return it using the pre-paid envelope
Your security code is printed on the form. You will need this when completing the form online or by phone.
If you don't respond
If you do not respond by 18 August we will send a reminder to you.
Canvassers employed by Waverley Borough Council will conduct house-to-house enquiries of those who have not responded to the initial form, or the reminder. These visits will start in September.
