Waverley's plans for countryside and open spaces
Making sure that people have a good quality of life within Waverley is an important theme in our Cultural strategy for 2009 - 2013.
What are our key aims?
- Ensure new residential developments include plans for play areas
- Improve visitor information at some of our key parks and countryside sites
- Set up long term management plans for some of our key parks
- Protect and enhance the biodiversity of wildlife sites within Waverley
- Preserve our historic landscape
- Work in partnership with local groups that protect and enhance the environment and that sustain rural services.
