Staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very important. As such, we offer a wide range of activities to ensure that everyone can enjoy keeping fit.
We have five leisure centres in Waverley. They are run by Places for People.
They all offer superb gym facilities and regular exercise classes. Each town in Waverley has a 25m main pool and separate teaching pool.

Wellbeing groups in Waverley
Places for People offer a number of wellbeing groups and classes across all of Waverley's leisure centres. These include classes specifically designed for those living with and beyond cancer, falls prevention classes and stroke groups.
Walks for Health
Walks for health are your opportunity to enjoy your local environment whilst meeting other people. Walks take pace of the slowest person, but the aim is increase your heart rate and to get you active. Walk locations include Cranleigh, Farnham, Godalming and Haslemere.
GP exercise referral scheme
GPs and Health Professionals can refer appropriate patients to a qualified exercise specialist. The specialist devises and delivers a 12 week tailored exercise programme for the patient, at a reduced price.
Weight Management Scheme
Adults - The weight management scheme is a 12 week programme designed to help you to lose weight by eating a healthy diet and being more physically active and runs at our leisure centres. More information on the weight management scheme.
Young People - Alive 'N' Kicking deliver free healthy lifestyle programmes to children and young people aged 5-19 who are on/above 91st centile, for further information please click here.
Running for Wellbeing - Couch 2 5 K
Welcome to Waverley’s new running group, the Waverley Wanderers led by Places for People Godalming.
We are encouraging the local community to enjoy the many benefits of running for physical and mental wellbeing, from improving fitness and losing weight to reducing stress, sleeping better and improving self esteem. Running in a group also offers a great chance to socialise.
Launching Saturday 7th October, 9.00 at Broadwater Park, the couch to 5K programme is a great way to get yourself off the couch and running in just 9 weeks. It is suiable for people who are complete beginners or those looking to start running again after time out.
Waverley Countryside Volunteers
If you want to help maintain local wildlife, make new friends, learn a new skill or just get some exercise - join Waverley Countryside Volunteers.
No experience is needed, just plenty of enthusiasm and some elbow grease. New volunteers are always welcome.
Conservation tasks are open to everyone from 16-80 years of age.
Under 8s and over 80s can swim for free at any of our leisure centres.
