Leisure centres

We have five leisure centres in Waverley. They are run by Places for People.

They all offer superb gym facilities and regular exercise classes.  Each town in Waverley has a 25m main pool and separate teaching pool.

Wellbeing groups in Waverley

Places for People offer a number of wellbeing groups and classes across all of Waverley's leisure centres. These include classes specifically designed for those living with and beyond cancer, falls prevention classes and stroke groups.

Walks for Health

Walks for health are your opportunity to enjoy your local environment whilst meeting other people. Walks take pace of the slowest person, but the aim is increase your heart rate and to get you active.  Walk locations include Cranleigh, Farnham, Godalming and Haslemere.

Waverley Countryside Volunteers

If you want to help maintain local wildlife, make new friends, learn a new skill or just get some exercise - join Waverley Countryside Volunteers.

No experience is needed, just plenty of enthusiasm and some elbow grease. New volunteers are always welcome.

Conservation tasks are open to everyone from 16-80 years of age.

Fit for Life 50+

Fit for Life 50+ are exercise classes designed to increase strength, flexibility and circulation in a fun and friendly environment for people over 60. Classes take place Monday to Friday and are run by Places for People.
