Waverley's portion...

For 2011/12, the average charge for a Band D property has been kept at the 2010/11 rate of £1519.02* per year, or £29.21 a week.  Despite Waverley having its funding slashed by Government to the tune of 18.2% compared to last year, we've pledged to keep your council tax down at last year's level.

For an average of £3.11 per week Waverley uses its portion of the council tax to deliver over 100 services to residents.

The rest of the money that Waverley collects from council tax goes to the Borough's, Towns and Parishes, Surrey Police Authority with the majority going to Surrey County Council.

*although some parish councils may see a small increase.
