Apply for council housing
How we prioritise applications and allocate housing
Each Housing Register Application is assessed under the Council's allocation scheme. There is also summary of the allocation scheme.
The applications with the greatest housing need and local connection to Waverley will have a higher priority than those that don't. Those with a high priority are placed in Band A, those with a low priority are placed in Band C or in the discretionary pool.
How we allocate housing
Council and Housing Association Properties that are available are advertised each week through our Choice Based Lettings Scheme known as Waverley Homechoice. Applicants on the Housing Register can express an interest in an advertised property (known as a bid) online or they can place a bid by phone. Visit Waverley Homechoice to find out more.
