Contractors' Code of Conduct
- introduce themselves clearly and show you an identity card before asking to come in
- be wearing an appropriate uniform
- explain the work that they are there to do
- use and store materials in a safe manner
- behave in a polite and courteous manner
- not smoke in your home
- use clean dustsheets
- always think safety - never have trailing leads and never leave tools lying around
- clear up when they leave, even if they need to return to finish the repair
- drive and park courteously
- carry out your work to the highest standard
