Meet Mears our new repairs contractor
When is it happening?
1 February - Mears took over repairs and gas work - New low cost number introduced for repairs, gas and emergencies - 0330 119 3000.
1 March - Mears take over aids and adaptations
1 April - Mears take over kitchen and bathroom replacements, reroofing work, structural repairs, and other contractors take over external decorations and electrical work.
What changes will you see?
Easy reporting - We now have a low cost telephone number - 0330 119 3000 - for ALL repairs including emergencies. There is also a new email address: housing.repairs@waverley.gov.uk and a new online repair reporting form on the website.
The current telephone number will stay operational for a period so that everyone has time to become familiar with the new number.
New customer services team - Mears and Waverley will form one customer service team making it easier for you to contact us to arrange an appointment.
New branding - The repairs vans feature both the Mears logo and Waverley logo. Mears operatives have red and black uniforms. They will also carry Identification Cards which they must show you before entering your property.
