  • Godalming Music Festival

    • Location: Godalming Borough Hall
    • Cost: £1:50 (children free)

    One of the largest competitive music festivals in the South of England with over 3000 participants

    Violinists

    These events are open to the public for a nominal charge of £1:50. They take place at eight venues across the town.

    Programmes are available from the Borough Hall, Record Corner and Ballethoo.

    At the Borough Hall there will be:

    • Wind instrument competitions on 6, 7, 15, 16 and 17 March
    • Strings on 8, 9,and 10 March
    • Piano 13, 14 17 and 21 March
    • Solo singing 20, 22 and 23 March

     Events take place throughout the afternoon and evening. Come and listen for as long or short a time as you wish.

  • Heathland and Frensham Common

    Frensham Common Volunteer Sessions

    • Location: Frensham Common

    Frensham Common Volunteer Session

    Regular Wednesday tasks (10am-3.30pm) usually take place at Frensham Common - normally meeting at the rangers' office. Contact the ranger Vicky Booth for more details 01252 792416

    All tools, training and tea and biscuits provided. The tasks run from 10am until 12.30pm with a tea break at 11am.

    All are welcome (people under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult) - just wear old clothes and sturdy shoes. We'll provide all tools, training and tea and biscuits. Sorry, no dogs.

    Farnham Park Volunteer Session

    Volunteers meet at 9.30am at the Farnham Park ranger’s office in the main car park at Folly Hill, GU9 0AU.

    All tools, training and tea and biscuits provided. The tasks run from 10-12.30 with a tea break at 11am.

    Dates and tasks are subject to change – please check with the site noticeboards or call the ranger beforehand on 01252 717047.
