  • Farnham Runners Couch-to-5k course

    • Wednesday, 4 July 2018 - Saturday, 8 September 2018 at 19:00 - 20:00
    • Location: Bourne Green Lower Bourne, Farnham
    • Cost: £49, which includes the cost of the course, annual membership to Farnham Runners and affiliation to England Athletics

The course is designed for anyone who wants to take up running but never quite had the fitness, confidence or motivation to do it.

In order to qualify to join the course you must already be comfortable walking for 30 minutes or more.

It is not suitable for those who can already run for stretches of 10 minutes or more or for anyone who has run 5km or more in the past twelve months.

There are two sessions each week:

    • Wednesday evening: from the clubhouse on the Bourne Green
    • Saturday morning: Alice Holt Parkrun

Each session will start with warm ups and then follow structured jog/walking sessions.

The sessions are designed to be friendly, inclusive and encouraging and all are very welcome.

During the course, you should ideally run three times a week, i.e. at the Wednesday and Saturday sessions and a “homework” session of your choice.
