Councillor Elizabeth Cable

Elizabeth has lived in Witley with her husband John for the last 15 years. Elizabeth's career was teaching. She taught mathematics in several secondary schools in Surrey and elsewhere, and later became involved with Careers Education. Working for some years with the Surrey Careers Service developing education materials and providing training.

Elizabeth has two adult sons. Her leisure interests include bridge, walking, family history and theatre going.

Elizabeth is keen to:

• work for the provision of affordable housing for Witley and Hambledon
• support local amenities especially provision for young people
• achieve safer well maintained roads
• support sustainable development whilst retaining the unique quality of Witley and Hambledon
• support and campaign for local issues
• ensure that Waverley uses its powers and council tax effectively wisely.
