Councillor Janet Somerville

I live in Cranleigh and have a daughter and a son.  My daughter and her husband have two children, both at school in this area, and my son, who is a microchip designer, lives in Wiltshire.

I graduated at Durham University and used to live in Northumberland where I served on a Council.

I am very interested in local matters, and my wish is to be involved in and to serve my community to the best of my ability.

My main leisure time interests are travel, history, current affairs and church matters.  I am a member of the congregation of St Nicholas' Church in Cranleigh.

Cllr Somerville is a member of the Standards Panel, the Appeals Panel and the Eastern Area Planning Committee.
