Nerissa was born in the Netherlands to an Irish family and since then has lived on four continents before settling here in Waverley. She can speak (not as well as she would wish) Dutch, Spanish and German. She studied Law at St Mary's College Durham and the College of Law, Guildford before qualifying as a solicitor.
Nerissa and her husband Jonathan settled in Farnham (where Nerissa had lived intermittently since 1992) in 2002 and In 2006 Nerissa left the law to start a family. In 2007 Nerissa was elected to Waverley Borough Council for the first time, since when she has been an active advocate for her ward and its residents. Nerissa is an accredited commercial and community mediator and volunteers with Waverley Mediation, a free local mediation service.
Nerissa's key interests are to protect the character of beautiful Farnham and Waverley against inappropriate development, to keep Council Tax down and to campaign for much needed improvements to Farnham's road system.
Cllr Warner-O'Neill is a member of the Western Area Planning Committee.
