Councillor David Munro

David Munro has represented the Shortheath and Boundstone ward in Farnham for four years, and is also the Surrey county councillor for the area. He has lived in the Farnham area for over twenty years and has helped hundreds of residents with their concerns since he became a local councillor fifteen years ago.

As an ex-governor of Weydon School, a trustee of the Farnham Youth Project (40 Degreez) and a supporter of the Wrecclesham Community Centre, David is particularly interested in improving facilities for young people and has awarded money for several projects at the centre. He has also campaigned against over-development in the ward. He is a strong advocate for major road improvements in the area including the Wrecclesham Relief Road.

Outside council work, David is a part-time director of a small computer software company working for the Ministry of Defence, and a director and treasurer of several local and national not-for-profit organisations.

Cllr Munro is a member of the Audit Committee.
