Bryn Morgan's career began as a research scientist before becoming a publishing manager for a major British university press. He is a psychologist, by profession, who has latterly specialised in business and management training, spending the last fifteen years as a teacher and lecturer in business management.

His family moved to Waverley ten years ago after more than twenty years living in the rural north of Essex, where he was very active in village life through the local parish council and as chairman of the village hall committee. Since moving to Surrey, he was appointed the first parish clerk in Churt, as well as a local parish councillor, Vice-Chairman of Frensham Parish Council and has represented the towns and villages on the Local Strategic Partnership between county and borough service providers.

He believes that the survival of our local village environments, and the enhancement of community facilities, should be a major priority for Waverley Borough Council.

Cllr Morgan is a member of the Executive and Portfolio Holder for Planning.  He is also a member of the following Committees:-

  • Licensing and Regulatory Committee
  • SCC Local Committee
  • Standards Panel
  • Licensing (General Purposes) Sub-Committee
