Councillor Nicholas Holder

A former Cavalry Officer and Investment Banker, Nick has been in the area since childhood in the 1950s. Nick's father, the late Sir Paul Holder, was a Waverley Borough Councillor from 1976 - 1983, and Nick is hoping to follow in his father's footsteps.

His main interests are two-fold:-

Care of the Elderly. Nick is a member of the Milford and Villages Day Centre Fundraising Committee. By 2017, the number of people aged 65 is expected to rise by 25% and those over 85 by 38%. Plans need to be put in place now to increase resources to meet this eventuality.

As a former expedition leader with Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Nick is keen to promote outdoor activities for the young, particularly the Scouts, Guides, Cadet Forces etc.

Cllr Holder is Vice-Chairman of the Community Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
