Running a business from home

Waverley Borough Council is supporting the Prime Minister's challenge to "create a decade of enterprise" by supporting tenants who want to work from home.

With this in mind we are interested to know; if you were to run a business from home, what would it be and why?

I have run my business from home for the last 30 years . I am a market researcher and its not really working for home but my home is my office no one calls here as part of the work . I have all I need for an office and it worked well when my children were growing up they were not "latch key kids" . Now I still have 2 living with me plus 2 grandchildren, so its a chaotic office LOL!!

I don't currently run a busines from home, but can see in the next 3 years that my current position will be made redundant. My hopes are that I can run a business from home and this would probably be either 'Virtual Secretarial' or something completely different relating to arts and crafts.

In response to Donald's comment I can confirm that the tenancy agreement states you may run a business from home so long as you seek permission from the Council and the activity does not cause a nuisance or annoyance to neighbours.
