We would like to know your views on what works well for you in the repairs service. We are also very keen to hear any ideas or suggestions on how you think we can improve our repairs service.

On the whole the workforce you use for repairs are polite, efficient and normally quick at getting in touch. The only thing I would like to say is that sometimes they do not make an appointment if it is outside work and just turn up to do the work. This is not acceptable to any of us as someone should be at the house.

It must be 3 or 4 yrs ago that a repair was made to the entrance of 23/24/25 The Meads but was left unpainted and is almost as bad as it had been. I have made numerous phone calls, emails and face to face complaints but nothing has ever been done. It looks like an inner city slum and is not a good impression for Waverley. I have given up trying!

Dear Carolann, Thank you for your comments. I have arranged for the Area Maintenance Inspector to call on Friday 17th December in order to investigate further. We will try to get the plaster repainted asap in the New Year. I will contact you again as soon as I have obtained a date from our contractors. Dear Carolann,The Area Maintenance Inspector called on Friday 17th December and raised an order with our contractor (MITIE) to carry out some further plasterwork at both 18-26 & 23-25 and to water proof and decorate the areas to match existing. The target date for these works is 19th January 2011, but is subject to the weather conditions. Please do contact me if you have any further concerns regarding these works. We have had a leaking roof now for well over a year,have reported this several times, and we are still waiting for someone to come and sort the problem out. repairs service very poor 0 out of 10 for this service.

I was sorry to hear of the delays on your roofing works. I have guessed your address and if I am correct your job relates to an area of flat roof over an outhouse and in joint ownership with a privately owned property. I have today contacted the contractor in an attempt to have this job carried out for you as soon as can be arranged. My sincere apologies for the delay

Dear David,
I have written to you and your neighbour today.As you will read there is both the need to provide clear access to the outhouse roof via what is currently a blocked alleyway and also for the owner of the neighbouring property to carry out some works to the gutter and fascia on their side of the outhouse roof.As soon as we have heard from you both that all of this has been carried out then we will arrange an appointment for the roofers to revisit and carry out the works. We are always hoping that the contractor will get it right first time, What would be helpful if the communication between the repairs office and the tenant was right the first time.
